structure of nikasil coating

  It was invented in 1967 and is now widely applied on the cylinder of engine. There are many different processes developed to produce this composite coating material. The results on the eventual applications should be respected. We only partially emphasize:

  • ■  SiC(Silicon Carbide) The particle diameter and shape
       should be selected with not only considering the durability
       of the nikasil coating layer but also reducing the abrasion
       of piston ring relatively wore out.

  • ■  SiC(Silicon Carbide) Considering the dispersive distribution,
       the percentage of distribution, and the evenly requirement
       for distribution, every part in the reciprocal strokes can be
  •    durable as the feature of nikasil coating.

  • ■  SiC(Silicon Carbide) Considering the proportion of solid
       solution in the coating liquid, the arranged proportional
       program of the concentration in the coating liquid, the
       current density that should be applied, the finally
       completed deposit rate (mm/hr) target; how to minimize
       the inner stress of nikasil coating layer, with certain
       deflective ability against the stress of thick nikasil coating
       to prevent cracking or depriving of nikasil coating layer
  •    under high temperature movement.
