　The feature of flake graphite in gray cast iron is changed through nodular graphite formed. The cast iron becomes ductile with better mechanical features. To allow nodular graphite cast iron more durable, we also add alloys in addition to normal ingredients to further meet the requirements of cylinder or cylinder sleeve on the life expectancy. Based on the different requirements on the mechanical features for cylinder and cylinder sleeve design, we provide ductile iron in different levels through cast or heat treatment.
